Celebrate ISIRD Photo Contest
Sponsored by Invertebrate Reproduction & Development Journal (IRD)
Winner Receives an Invitation to Publish in IRD
We are excited to announce the journal Invertebrate Reproduction & Development would like to sponsor a Photo Contest during ICIRD 2025.
Theme: Striking/Unusual Photos of Invertebrate Reproduction and Development
Contestants do not have to attend the Congress (ICIRD 2025) to submit an entry.
All candidate photos, accompanied by a short explanatory text (max 200 words), would be printed and exhibited during the conference. They would be submitted to a public, but anonymous, vote at the Congress in June, and the winning submission will be announced at the end of the meeting and invited to publish a full Flagrante delicto article in the journal.

Flagrante Delicto is a newly designed article type of the journal Invertebrate Reproduction & Development. It is a primarily visual contribution that brings to light a novel, intriguing or unusual aspect of reproduction or development, which by nature is sufficiently attractive to be featured outside of a full-length or short-note manuscript. The contribution is centered on one or a maximum of two visually striking photograph(s) illustrating this exceptional situation or phenomenon, accompanied by a short text of 1000 words or less (the whole will typically fit inside two formatted journal pages).
To learn more about this type of article, consult the Article types in the Authors guidelines.
