Student Volunteer Program

Note: Even though presenters are required to register by June 11, student volunteers who apply for the Student Volunteer Support Program do not need to register by the June 11 deadline. Dear Student Volunteer Applicant:
Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting your application to participate in the Student Volunteer Program for the upcoming Annual Meeting. In order to be eligible for Student Support you must fulfill all of the following:
- Be an undergraduate student member or graduate student member of one of the sponsoring societies 2020/2021.
- Complete the application form in its entirety before the deadline (June 28, 2021)
- Provide up to one-half day of assistance to JMIH during the Annual Meeting, as described below.
- JMIH Student volunteer opportunities include:
- Working at the registration desk
- Monitoring questions from the hybrid platform to ask the speaker
- Assisting the session moderator
Because the 2021 Annual Meeting will be held as a hybrid meeting, the Student Volunteer Program will be for the in person portion only. The program will award financial support in the form of a waiver of registration fees.
Students who are granted support will be notified by email within 1 week after the 6/28/2021 deadline. If you are granted support through the Student Volunteer Program you are obligated to provide the equivalent of one-half day of assistance during the in-person meeting; failure to fulfill your obligation will cause immediate cancellation of your support.
All student support recipients must attend a training meeting prior to the annual meeting. Date/time TBD.

JMIH Student volunteer opportunities include working at the registration desk, monitoring questions from the hybrid platform to ask the speaker and assisting the moderator.
APPLICATION MUST BE RECEIVED BY: June 28, 2021.
Registration Support: If you are granted registration assistance, your registration fees will be waived for the meeting. 2021 Student Volunteer Program recipients will not pay registration fees then be refunded after the meeting. Instead, JMIH will waive the fee upfront.
