Masks are strongly recommended for all indoor events, regardless of vaccination status. We request that you wear masks for all indoor events, regardless of vaccination status. For events at which food and drink are being served indoors, the recommendation is to wear masks while not actively eating or drinking. For outdoor events, individuals are encouraged to wear masks when in crowded areas.

If you are feeling unwell (with flu-like symptoms), please get tested and consider joining us virtually while you recuperate and/or wait for the results. We have instituted a COVID safety line (703-910-3442) that can be used to report COVID safety concerns or if you need assistance. You can text to that line. There are a number of FREE testing facilities in San Diego County: www.sandiegocounty.gov. You may choose to bring one or more at-home tests so that you can test yourself in case you experience symptoms while you are in attendance. If you do test positive and/or experience symptoms before or during the conference, please follow CDC guidelines for isolation: www.cdc.gov.

Proof of Covid vaccination or negative test is NOT required to attend IUSSI 2022. We strongly recommend vaccinations and encourage testing to confirm negative Covid status before joining in-person events, but there is no longer a state requirement for vaccination verification or proof of negative tests before attending the conference.

Travel planning this year is particularly challenging with unknowns due to COVID. Cancellations with refund of registration for covid-related circumstances are allowed without penalty. Cancellations must be in writing via fax, email or regular mail to the IUSSI Business Office. Please contact meetings@burkinc.com. You may switch from in-person to virtual until July 1 without penalty.
