Self-Organized Picnic at the Beach

After the talks on Wednesday, we’ll meet up on a beach at Coronado Island for a self-organized picnic. Coronado Ferry Landing is just a short ferry ride away from the conference hotel, and there’s a nice sandy public beach immediately to the west of the Coronado ferry landing. Bring your own dinner, or grab some takeout from one of the many shops & restaurants at Coronado, by the ferry landing (e.g. Village Pizza, Burger King, Crown Town Deli, KFC, Cold Stone ice cream… see map below). We’ll be on the beach/grass (pink circle on map below) from 7pm-9pm (the last ferry leaves at 9:40 pm). If for some reason you get stranded on Coronado after the last ferry has left, an Uber/taxi can take you back over the bridge (15min drive).
